Gooi en Steek comes from my childhood. It always stuck with me when my mom would refer to making a “gooi en steek” casserole. It became a family legacy and we all cook that way. The objective is to combine ingredients and flavours that you love and throw them in a pot, on the weber or in the oven and chill out while the flavours mix together and create a masterpiece
Over the years I have taught many of my friends that were terrified of their kitchens how to love cooking and make it fun. It is all about what you love to eat, throwing it together and letting the marriage of the flavours do the rest of the work.
